Delivery

Where do you ship from?

All orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse. 

Is there VAT discount for customers outside the European Union?

The price displayed is the end cost to the customer, where any UK government tax, or VAT, is included in the price, our customers will not be subject to any surcharge on checkout irrespective of their location. In regards to import duties, this is totally out of our control. All customs and import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. This is the recipients responsibility.

What type of delivery service do you use?

All deliveries require a signature and are traceable on request. We mainly use Royal Mail, but also courier services where necessary.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship Worldwide. If for some reason your country does not appear on the shipping list, please contact us for a quote.

What are your delivery charges?

Delivery charges are quoted as a flat rate specific to your location; the more you buy the better saving you have on delivery costs. All delivery charges are quoted when checking out.

Has my order been shipped?

You will be sent a dispatch e-mail once your order has been sent.

Will I incur any customs and import charges?

We regret that this is totally out of our control. All customs and import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. The recipient is solely responsible for paying these charges.

We recommend that you contact your local customs office if you are concerned by the charges you may incur. Custom charges and policies vary widely from country to country.

I want a product, but it is out of stock?

Any out of stock items that are still listed on the website can be requested on their specific product page. If an item has been removed from the website, then we suggest you send us a message via the contact page with the item in question and we will see if we can still source it for you.

How do I purchase a gift voucher/certificate?

We regret that at the moment we don’t offer this service.

How do I sign up to the newsletter?

Subscribe (or un-subscribe) via our homepage by entering your e-mail address.

How do I create a customer account?

You don't need to have an account to order through our website, but you will be given the option to create one at checkout. You cannot create an account without first ordering something. 

Where are your products manufactured?

We source our products from Sri Lanka. We have built an honest and trustworthy relationship with our door-stop supplier over the last 10 years. We know exactly who makes them and the conditions they are made under. We make yearly visits to Sri Lanka to check in with our supplier and meet all the workers.

Do you employ the workers directly?

No, we work with an external supplier who in turn employs his own workers. 

What % of the retail price goes to the workers?

We cannot give an exact %. However, we can guarantee that all workers in Sri Lanka that are involved with the process of making a Wedgie are paid a fair wage for a fair days work. Our supplier is very transparent with the salaries he pays.

All workers get paid monthly, and that amount is dependent on the individual and their experience and skill level within their job. The base salary any of our suppliers' workers receive is x 3 more than the Sri Lankan official minimum wage, and the most experienced workers can earn up-to x7 the Sri Lankan official minimum wage.
